Volunteering is EASY, FUN & REWARDING! How much time you give is up to you, you don't need any previous experience, you don't need to take on a big role. We have a huge variety of roles and tasks to suit everyone, and whatever you choose to help with will make a difference. Volunteering also offers OPPORTUNITIES to get externally-recognised qualifications, to build skills and confidence and gives you the chance to have a REAL IMPACT on the development of young people. If you decide to take on a role, we make sure you're properly trained and supported. If you bake us a cake, help with some admin or share events it all makes a DIFFERENCE! Thank you for supporting us in what ever way you can! |
Who are adult leaders and volunteers? For most of the week they are business executives, engineers, plumbers, nurses, administrators, teachers, parents, friends, retired individuals, .....you name it! but they are the heart and soul of what we do! Without our volunteers we wouldn't be able to offer the young people of Mersea and surrounding villages the opportunities Scouting has to offer.

Take part in your child’s adventure! You may feel that you don’t have the appropriate skills to help. However, the table below provides a snapshot of ways that adults can get involved with the Scout Group. There is such a variety of every-day skills that can help.
|
Sharing some of the things you enjoy doing...can help a young person learn new skills and have fun. Young people love getting their award badges and you could help them - giving both you and the young person an amazing sense of achievement.

People lead busy lives...You can volunteer as little or as much time as you like - even an hour a month can make a big difference!
