Uniform Badges!

Congratulations you have a Scout! Whether your young person is joining for the first time or moving up from Cubs, click here to discover which badges, such as the staged badges,  are transferrable between section uniform. At Mersea Scout Group we have a Land Scout AND a Sea Scout Troop! (They both do water activities but one more so than the other)
​You will find a handy image below to illustrate badge placement for the Sea Scout jumper and the Land Scout shirt. Both troops can earn exactly the same badges if they want!
We would strongly advise against using glue to attach them as some like the staged awards or special occasion badges will need removing.
​From time to time we may offer a badge sewing service for a small fee. If you have any questions about badges please ask one of the section volunteers!

​Challenge Award Badges
(Navy blue hexagons with red edge)
​If a Scout  achieves all 9 of the Challenge Badges they will earn their Chief Scout Gold Award! The highest award in the Scout section.
Activity Badges

​These are worn on the left arm along with the staged badges (Pale blue with blue edging)
