EXPLORER UNIFORM BADGES
Congratulations you have an Explorer Scout! Whether your young person is joining for the first time or moving up from Scouts, click here to discover which other badges, such as the staged badges, are transferrable between section uniform and where to place them.
There is also a handy image below to illustrate badge placement.
We would strongly advise against using glue to attach them as some like the staged awards or special occasion badges will need removing.
From time to time we may offer a badge sewing service for a small fee. If you have any questions about badges please ask one of the section volunteers!

EXPLORER SCOUT ACTIVITY AWARD BADGES
|
Each section has a set of Challenge and Activity badges they can gain. These are section (age) specific. Once moved on to another section they should not be worn on uniform and can be removed & sewn on to a camp blanket or similar keep-sake.
Explorer Activity Badges have a royal blue with light blue edging. |
Explorer Young Leader Badge - this is awarded in 4 stages as the Young Person goes through the training modules. Once complete they will also be presented with an Explorer Young Leader Belt Buckle
The highest Duke of Edinburgh's Award is worn on an Explorer's and Networker's uniform once awarded. An adult Leader may wear the Gold Award if it has been achieved.
Explorers have the opportunity to gain two Chief Scout Awards, Platinum & Diamond. The Chief Scout's Diamond Award is the highest of the Chief Scout's Awards and the final step before the King's Scout Award. King's Scout Award is the highest award in Scouting and can also be worn by Explorers, Networkers & Adults who have achieved it. Wear it proudly!
